1. House of Shila
‘’House of Shila’’ is a community of selected, invitation only individuals from a multitude of disciplines and fields. In order to become a member of our Members Club, you must apply via our website. ‘House of Shila’ is a a vibrant community of like-minded, passionate individuals coming together to connect, get inspired, create and collaborate.

Creating spaces where all feel welcomed, that allow everyone to show up authentically is at the heart of the HOS mission and culture. Our aim is to create a global creative community that blends business, artistry and lifestyle, with discounted Shila and Mona stays and purchases from our eclectic showroom collection.

Our Members Club has attracted passionate creators, renowned artists, architects, and fashion icons. Our events curate a mélange of sophisticated locals and global nomads enjoying our unique concepts and entertainment.

Aesthetic sociability, deep seated passion, true interpersonal connections and creative communality are at the core of HOS. Membership to our community offers the opportunity for mingling and collaborating at our Athens 1920s townhouse (Shila) its downtown sister venue (Mona) and our urban New York space (Rosa).

Members have exclusive access to our worldwide spaces for work, play and stay.

Each member contracts with the House of Shila company i.e. AUM SHILA SINGLE MEMBER PC. House of Shila reserves the right, in its absolute discretion to change the company with whom a member contracts, if deemed necessary. House of Shila will inform each member of the name of the company with whom he or she contracts by email upon membership approval and/or renewal, and also if we change the contracting company at any time. For the pursposes of these House rules, we will refer to that contracting company as ‘House of Shila’.

House of Shila reserves the right to charge members a joining fee, an annual subscription fee and a charge for admission to the House premises from time to time. The right to amend or waive any such fees or subscriptions from time to time shall be the House of Shila’s sole discretion.

2. Your membership application
By completing and submitting your application for membership via our website, you agree to be bound by House of Shila’s rules and you warrant that you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts; all registration information you submit is truthful and accurate; that you will maintain the accuracy of such information; and your use of the Services does not violate any applicable law or regulation.

The Membership Committee meets monthly and admits new members. This Committee shall have sole discretion as to who shall become a member of House of Shila.

If your membership application is accepted, we will confirm this by sending you a ‘Welcome to the House of Shila’ email. Your annual membership will commence on the date your ‘Welcome’ email is sent.

You are free to withdraw your application at any time. Should you wish to do so, please contact our membership team at [email protected]

We only accept members who are above 18 years old and can sign legally binding contracts with us for use of our Services. Individuals under the age of 18 may utilize the Services only with the consent and accompaniment of a parent, legal guardian or other qualified adult. If you are a parent or guardian and allow your Minor to use the Services, you agree to be bound by the Minor’s use of the Services and by these Terms. If you are under the age of 18 and do not have the requisite parent or guardian consent, please do not attempt to access or use the Services.

Your use of the Services confirms that you represent and meet all eligibility requirements we outline in these Terms. House of Shila may still refuse to allow individuals access or use the Services. We may also change our eligibility criteria periodically.

3. Proposing new members
Members are welcome to propose new applicants to join our Members Club. Application forms are available at www.houseofshila.com

4. Membership renewal
Membership is for a minimum period of one year and renewable thereafter on an annual basis.
Membership renewals are not automatic and are reviewed by our Membership Committee on an annual basis.

5. Membership database
It is important for us to have your current details, and a photograph of you for our membership database. By becoming a member of ‘House of Shila’, you consent that we can process your personal details and a photograph in connection with your membership. If your contact or payment details change, please let us know via your account page on www.houseofshila.com or via email at [email protected]

6. Rights and privileges of membership
A member shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges of the Members Club granted to a person in his or her capacity as a member and shall be bound by these rules, however shall have no proprietary rights in any of the premises or in respect of the property of ‘House of Shila’.
Membership grants access to both the Mona & Shila premises and provides for priority booking to all our brand events.
Benefits include:
-Discounted hotel stays
-Discounted booking of our spaces for private events
-Early bird booking access to ticketed events
– Invitations to all events created by our collaborators
-Access to the rooftop, gallery and lobby mezzanine space (if there is no other event or hotel activity in that space)
-Discounted purchases from the hotels’ for sale items online via the House of Shila e-shop.
-Priority access for booking spaces for private meetings, suppers, parties etc

7. Guests
Members are permitted to bring up to 3 guests with them to the club houses, Shila and Mona, at times communicated by the Club. Please be aware that during very busy times we may have to restrict member/guest access to certain areas of the Houses. A member’s guests may not enter a House without that member being present. Members may not be separated from their guests within the House or allow their guests to remain in the House when they leave. Members are responsible for ensuring their guests follow all House of Shila rules and policies, and can face suspension or termination of their membership if their guests violate such rules or policies.

8. Children
The Houses are designed for adults, but aim to be child-friendly. Please be considerate of other members when you bring children, who count as part of your guest allowance, and ask each House about its rules regarding children, since they vary. Please remember that your children are your responsibility at all times when present at the House, and ensure they are not left unattended at any time.

9. Membership payment
At present ‘House of Shila’ provides the opportunity for those interested to register as members without incurring a membership fee. This privilege will last for their first six-months of membership in the club. When the ‘House of Shila’ complimentary membership period has expired, membership will be continued by paying an annual fee, to be determined by ‘House of Shila’ at that time and announced on the website. Members wishing to renew their membership will be notified on the website and by e-mail.
Upon approval or renewal of your membership, your membership fees become payable immediately. By providing us with your payment information, you accept and consent to being charged the membership fees according to the ‘House of Shila’ application form. It is within our discretion to amend our membership fees at any time, and we will notify you in advance if there are to be any changes to the amount, date or frequency of the payment of your membership fees.
Failure to pay the annual subscription (or any installment thereof) within one month of the due date will result in the termination of your membership.

10. Resignation of your membership
If you choose to resign your membership (or your membership is cancelled part way through the year), and you have paid your full membership fee we are not obliged to refund the amount of your annual subscription. Refunds will be at the discretion of ‘House of Shila’.


11. Membership cards
All membership cards will be digital and must be checked or scanned at the Front Desk of Shila or Mona to gain entry to that Club House. Members should also expect to be asked to present their membership card when they sit down to eat or drink or if they open a bar tab. Where any member allows his or her card to be used by a non-member, such non-member shall be denied access to, or removed from, the House and the member whose card was used may face suspension or termination of their own membership. Please notify us immediately if you believe that your membership card has been used or may be used by another individual.

12. Privacy Policy – Your personal information

We share your personal data with ‘’AUM MONA GREECE PC’’ with your consent and in order to perform the contract of your membership for our social club, ‘House of Shila’.

13. Privacy for members/guests
Members and their guests must not disturb other members and guests with whom they are not personally acquainted. Doing so may lead to suspension or termination of membership.

14. Press/social media
‘House of Shila’ operates a strict no press policy. Members will be held accountable if they or their guests disclose or identify any other members or guests who are in our premises in the public domain, whether in any press or social media, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and on personal blogs.
The Company will not tolerate certain social media conduct by users of the Site, whether indirectly or directly targeting or relating to the ‘House of Shila’, its members, directors, employees, personnel, or agents, including for example: (a) defamatory, malicious, obscene, intimidating, discriminatory, harassing or threatening comments or hate propaganda; (b) calls to violence of any kind or other threats of any kind; or (c) conduct that violates any law or regulation. In the event that we feel that you have breached these Terms, we reserve all our rights to take further action, including but not limited to: (i) adding, removing, or modifying any content, including comments, (ii) blocking you or any other disruptive users; and (iii) discontinuing any of our social media channels at any time. In the event that you engage in (or direct or influence any person to engage in) any of this prohibited conduct on your social media channels regarding ‘House of Shila’ or any of our directors, employees, personnel, agents, policies, services or products or other members, we may immediately terminate your Membership or use of this Site and reserve our full legal rights to pursue legal damages against you.

15. Confidentiality
‘House of Shila’ management and all staff members are required to adhere to the strictest confidentiality standards and pledge to maintain all records and personal information concerning the members and their guests in the strictest confidence.

16. Illegal drugs/substances/items
No member or guest shall purchase, use, ingest, possess, sell or otherwise distribute illegal drugs or other substances, or attempt to do any of the same with any member or guest. No member or guest shall ask any ‘House of Shila’ staff for illegal drugs or other substances while on our premises, or in the immediate vicinity thereof. If any of the actions above prove true, the relevant member and/or guest will be removed from our premises and the membership in question will be terminated.
No member or guest shall purchase, sell, use or possess any object which is illegal or offensive while on ‘House of Shila’ premises or in the immediate vicinity thereof. If any such objects are found, the item will be confiscated, the relevant member and/or guest will be removed from our premises, the membership in question will be terminated and, depending on the circumstances, we may have to call the police or relevant authorities.

17. Bills
All bills must be settled in full before leaving our premises. There are no credit facilities. Members are responsible for their guests’ bills; if they are not paid, the member may face suspension.

18. Food and beverages
Please refrain from bringing any outside food or beverages to any of our premises, unless medically necessary.

19. Event Booking and House maintenance
We may at times close all or part of Shila or Mona to members and their guests for private events or for necessary maintenance, repair or redecoration work.
Where we close part of Shila or Mona for private events, please honour and respect the privacy of all private events occurring in our premises and refrain from communicating any information about the event to third parties in any form.
Where all or part of Shila or Mona is closed for maintenance, repair or redecoration work, or where we need to withdraw facilities or services because we consider that they may pose a risk to the health or safety of our members, guests or staff, or that they are detrimental to the business, we will seek to ensure that any such area, facility or service is reinstated as soon as practicable.

20. Your views and experiences at House of Shila
We love to hear what our members and guests get up to at ‘House of Shila’. While you are a member or a guest at our Houses, we may ask you to give your views of, and experiences at, ‘House of Shila’. We may also film, video or photograph our member events and activities at our Houses for use in our membership programs, as well as advertising, promotions, public relations, and other commercial/business purposes, upon their consent. If you take part in these interviews or events, you agree to us using your name, image and limited other information. You also consent to us publishing any materials produced by, or for, us for any purpose without your further consent, and you waive your right to receive any payment from us in connection with such publication.

21. Accidents and injuries
We want all our members and guests to relax and enjoy the activities and facilities available at our Houses in safety. Members and their guests agree to observe the House rules and any signs published or displayed at our Houses at any time and take reasonable precautions when using the facilities at the House.

If a member or guest has an accident or suffers any injury at, or in the vicinity of, a House, please report this as soon as possible to a member of staff and, in any event, within 24 hours of the incident. As well as wanting to check on a member or guest’s wellbeing, this information is needed in order to help us comply with our health and safety obligations and for insurance purposes.

22. Entering/leaving the House
All members and their guests are asked to respect our nearby residents by being quiet when entering or leaving the House premises, or while in the surrounding area.

23. Animals
Animals will be allowed in Shila and Mona upon informing us before your arrival. In any circumstance, legally recognized and certified service dogs are allowed in our houses.

24. CCTV
Members and their guests should be aware that for safety reasons, we use CCTV across all of our Houses.

25. Smoking policy
All members and their guests are obligated to abide by the House’s smoking policy, and to all applicable no-smoking governmental laws, rules and regulations. No smoking (including e-cigarettes and vapes) is allowed inside the House at any time. ‘House of Shila’ reserves the right to prohibit or limit smoking in any area of the House premises at any time at its sole and absolute discretion.
‘House of Shila’ reserves the right to designate certain outside areas of the House premises as smoking areas and to change the location of such areas at any time. However, all members and their guests are requested to respect the wishes of other members and their guests with respect to smoking, and to refrain from smoking when requested to do so.

26. Disciplinary procedure
Conduct by a member or guest that is prejudicial to the reputation and character of ‘House of Shila’ may result in suspension or expulsion of such member or guest. Such conduct may include inappropriate, violent or abusive behavior, or the communication of information concerning the House affairs, members or their guests in the House to the media. An expelled member may not return to any House as a guest. A refund of the expelled member’s subscription will be at the discretion of ‘House of Shila’. Any member or members who willfully remove, damage or destroy any property belonging to ‘House of Shila’, or to members or guests on premises, will be liable to expulsion and/or suspension or termination of their membership as well as compensation to ‘House of Shila’ for any damage caused to it.
Every member binds him/herself to abide by the rules, bylaws and regulations of ‘House of Shila’ at all times upon acceptance as a member. If ‘House of Shila’ considers that any member’s (or his or her guests) conduct either inside or outside of the House premises is, at its absolute discretion, contrary to the interests of ‘House of Shila’, ‘House of Shila’ may with immediate effect expel the member or guest from the House premises and/or suspend or terminate that member’s membership without having to give any reason to such member or guest.

Should you encounter or observe issues while in our spaces:
• Ask to speak to the General Manager or Shift Manager. Our staff are highly trained in conflict de-escalation.
• Share the details of your concerns. The more specific you can be, the better we can help you navigate the situation.
• Our House Leadership team will follow the response reporting protocol.
• If further steps are needed, those steps will be shared by the General Manager.

27. ‘House of Shila’ trademark rights
Members and their guests shall not use the names, logos, colors, trademarks, service marks, photographs, trade dress, or other identifying features of ‘House of Shila’ and its affiliates without obtaining the specific prior written approval of ‘House of Shila’ as to the specific use. You hereby expressly recognize that the ‘House of Shila’ trademarks are the valid, unique and exclusive property of ‘House of Shila’.

28. Liability of ‘House of Shila’
All items brought into a House are brought and left entirely at the risk of a member, or his or her guests. ‘House of Shila’ staff shall not be liable to any member or guest for any loss, damage or injury suffered by them or their property howsoever caused, save in respect of death or personal injury to a member or guest to the extent caused by the negligence of ‘House of Shila’, its staff /or agents.

29. Hyperlinks to other websites
This website may contain hyperlinks to other websites, which are governed by other statements and policies for the protection and privacy of personal data, the content of which may differ from our Privacy Policy. Please read the privacy policy of any website that you visit prior to submitting any personal data. Although we try to offer hyperlinks only to websites that share our high standards and respect to your privacy, we are not responsible for the content, the security or the privacy practices applied by other websites.

30. Severability
If it turns out that any part of these Terms is invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that term will be deemed severable and limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary. The limitation or elimination of the term will not affect any other terms.

31. Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and the Company and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether electronic, oral, or written with respect to these Services. Any rights not expressly granted herein are reserved. Each party confirms that it has not relied upon and shall have no remedy in respect of any agreement, warranty, statement, representation or undertaking unless set out expressly in these Terms.

32. Force Majeure
We take our commitment to our members seriously, and we will do what we can for you. However, sometimes things may come up that are outside of our control. We will not be liable for any failure to perform any of our obligations stated in these Terms if the failure results from a cause beyond our reasonable control, including, without limitation, mechanical, electronic or communications failure or degradation, strikes or other labor disputes (whether or not relating to our workforce), restraints or delays affecting carriers, or our inability or delay in obtaining supplies of adequate or suitable materials.

33. Assignment
You cannot assign, transfer or sublicense your membership. We may assign, transfer, or delegate any of our rights and obligations without your consent. These Terms do not create any agency, partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship, and neither party has any authority to bind the other in any respect.

34. Waiver
If we do not enforce any part of these Terms, it does not mean we give up the right to later enforce that or any other part of these Terms. In order for any waiver of compliance with these Terms to be binding, we must provide you with written notice of such waiver through one of our authorized representatives.

35. Interpretation of the rules
In the event of any dispute arising as to the meaning or interpretation of these rules, the matter shall be referred to the Membership Committee, whose decision with respect to your membership shall be final and without appeal. These rules shall be governed and construed in accordance with Greek law and each member agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of Greek courts.

36. Acceptance of the Terms
Please read these Terms carefully. By accessing, browsing or otherwise using the Services or by clicking to accept or agree to the Terms when this option is made available to you, you (1) acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms, (2) represent and warrant that you meet all of our eligibility requirements for using the Services as described in these Terms, and (3) accept and agree to be bound by these Terms, including any other terms applicable to the Services that are incorporated herein by reference. If you are using the Services on behalf of an entity, you are agreeing to these Terms for that entity and are representing to us that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms (in which case “you” will refer to that entity). If you do not accept these Terms or do not satisfy the eligibility requirements set forth below, you may not access or use the Services.

37. Amendments to the ‘House of Shila’ rules
‘House of Shila’ may change these terms from time to time, by displaying notification of the change on www.houseofshila-com. Any such changes are effective immediately when we post them and apply to all access to and use of the Services thereafter. Please review these Terms regularly because once we post any changes, your continued use of the Services constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
